Humble and Obedient

The cello starts in a minor key.

a half step above a flat b.

Too slow, it seems to me,

for the wings of a bee.

But, that is a metaphor

for a speed we cant ignore.

A bee unable to fly

will get slower and then die.

Poems, on the other hand,

will speed up upon demand.

until it becomes allegro.

as fast as poems can grow.

A muse tells it what to say.

The Poem has to obey.
