Humble and Obedient
The cello starts in a minor key.
a half step above a flat b.
Too slow, it seems to me,
for the wings of a bee.
But, that is a metaphor
for a speed we cant ignore.
A bee unable to fly
will get slower and then die.
Poems, on the other hand,
will speed up upon demand.
until it becomes allegro.
as fast as poems can grow.
A muse tells it what to say.
The Poem has to obey.
